Capita Customer Solution’s Learning and Development department were delighted to be shortlisted for Best Leadership Development Initiative at the recent IITD National Training Awards 2016, for their “Making It Happen” programme.

Held at the Killashee House hotel in Kildare, these awards are recognized as the premier cross industry event for Learning & Development in Ireland. Their purpose is to promote excellence, best practice and innovation in Training and Learning and Development and the shortlisting demonstrated firm recognition of SouthWestern’s strength in this area.

Designed by their in-house Learning and Development team, the ‘Making it Happen’ programme fosters the professional and personal progression of the company’s managers, supervisors and emerging talent and equips them with the skills necessary to advance to the next stage of their careers. Nearly 100 employees from Customer Solution’s sites in Clonakilty, Little Island and Lodz in Poland have now graduated from ‘Making it Happen’ – approximately 10% of the company’s workforce.
